Taste of Spring Market Trail
A gourmet trail that takes visitors on a curated tour to sample bite-sized delights. A ‘free-range’ taster
will act as a friendly guide, spruiking and showcasing sweet and savoury morsels from more
than 30 participating vendors, including:
● Naheda’s Choice – the TikTok famous dip shop will offer tastes of its infamous The
Bomb, a chunky chilli red pesto with tomato, capsicum, cashews, garlic and olives,
alongside customer favourites such as Havana, inspired by the flavours of a Cuban
cigar and Rolls Royce, a decadent mixture of parmesan and black Italian truffle.
● G.McBean Family Butcher – A gourmet terrine tasting station with flavours pairings; brandy and orange, bourbon and prune, cranberry and pistachio.
● Blackhearts & Sparrows – Tasting flights and top tipples for spring
● American Donut Kitchen – Providing a sweet treat with its iconic caramel filled doughnut
● Maker & Monger – Scooping sweet waffle cones of Luigi Guffanti Gorgonzola Dolce topped with Backyard Honeycomb
● F&J Fruiterers – Freshly squeezed OJ served in half an orange and strawberry skewers with chocolate dip
● Chaso’s Gourmet Deli – Peppadews stuffed with Greek feta and dolmades.
● Pino’s Fine Produce – BBQ spring corn with herb butter
● Pete & Rosie’s Deli– Mini skewers of Italian Casalinga salami, Spanish Cabra al Pimenton cheese, cornichons, pickled onion, and parsley

A Taste of Spring BBQ Series
Each weekend, the Taste of Spring BBQ Series will bring BBQ experts ‘The Que Club’ to host smoking hot sessions including a beginners guide to BBQing, live demonstrations, tastings and Q&As with notable chefs and the Market’s stall holders for expert tips and tricks.
Every Saturday and Sunday there will be three 30-45 minute demonstrations running at 11am, 12pm and 1pm.
Planned sessions include:
● The Butcher & The Beast – a journey of cuts and how to grill them to perfection, accompanied by tastings of smoked red ale-braised beef shin
● BBQing & Smoking with Craft Beer – learn how to BBQ a whole chicken on a beer can
● Put Another Corn On The Barbie – fire-friendly fruit and vegetables, from pimento stuffed jalapeńo poppers to Mexican street corn, and charred peaches with basil
● The Fishmongers Grill – a comprehensive guide to seafood, with highlights of gin cured and smoked salmon, and Micro Herb whole baby snapper
● Hardcore Carnivore – Learn how to master the whole pig whilst savouring gochujang seared pork belly strips
● Budget BBQing – tasty cuts that won’t burn your coal.
A Taste of Spring Picnic Trail
Taking visitors and their picnic rugs on a journey around the globe, the Taste of Spring Picnic Trail will launch in November. Specially curated hampers will showcase a smorgasbord of Prahran Market traders, perfect to share amongst friends, feast with the family or indulge in a romantic picnic for two. Patrons can pick up their picnic-themed box and gourmet checklist at participating traders.
“As the warm weather rolls in we wanted to celebrate the turn of the season and give people
a reason to get out and about with our new Spring programme. We wanted as many people
as possible to be able to participate in the Taste of Spring activation, and so we have
ensured there is a mix of free and affordable offerings for all to enjoy. We are so excited to
showcase our talented vendors and welcome inspiring collaborators in one of Melbourne’s
favourite community spaces,” shares Prahran Market CEO, Noel Dempsey.
