Cooking Haloumi like a pro is easy!
Alice in Frames shows you how to cook Haloumi at home!
- Heat a griddle pan over high heat.
- Slice the cheese into 1cm thick slabs and rub with some good quality olive oil.
- Place the oiled slabs onto the hot griddle pan – they will sizzle. Wait until brown (check them by lifting up the corner- but usually 1 -2 minutes) and then flip onto the other side.
- Once the second side is equally as brown, take it off the heat.
- Place it on a serving platter and scatter some fresh rocket, herbs, red onion, another drizzle of olive oil, a touch of salt and pepper and Voila!
