Choosing Flowers to Suit Your Partner’s Personality
14.02.2015
Want to spoil your partner with a bunch of flowers but don’t know where to start? Emma from Flawless Flowers gives her tips for picking the perfect bunch of flowers to suit five very different personality types.
1. The traditional type
For a traditional symbol of love, red roses are classic for a reason. And if your partner errs more on the traditional side of life, you can’t go wrong with red roses. They’re fabulous to look at, they smell divine and well, they’re red: the colour of love! Whether you opt for a gorgeous bouquet or pick an elegant single stem, roses are a beautiful way to say ‘I love you’.
2. That theatrical one
Got a loveable live wire on your hands? Colour is a must to keep the theatrical partner happy. Super bright dahlias, African flame lilies or extravagant Colombian roses are the ideal choice. Share your love with dramatic colour and mix it with a quirky card and you’ve got the makings of a perfect gift.
3. Au Naturale
For the natural other half, earthy, subdued hues and abundant foliage make a beautiful bouquet. Many native varieties have their own subtle perfume, creating a beautifully scented arrangement that looks great but is not at all over the top – wonderfully natural, just like your partner.
4. Artistic Flair
For the artistic type, think unique sculptural forms that command attention. Striking shapes such as succulents, orchids and heliconia appeal to the arty type’s creative flair. Get as inventive as you like or ask your Market florist for advice on how to put together the perfect bouquet.
5. The romantic at heart
For the true romantic nothing beats knowing what their favourite flower is! Show that you care by remembering what they love and you’ll have the ideal bouquet sorted in a flash.
