Perfect meringues every time!
Meringues are absolutely delicious and can be used for a multitude of desserts from decadent pavlovas, to on their own with a tasty coulis and cream.
- Separate 2 eggs at room temperature.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then add 1/2 cup of castor sugar gradually.
- Add in a splash of vanilla.
- Place spoonfuls of meringue on a lined baking tray.
- Put tray in a preheated oven at 150 degrees and bake for 45 minutes.
- Turn oven off and allow them to cool completely while in the oven.
