- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bring together the milk, butter, and egg, whisking to combine.
- Sift the flour, cocoa, and orange zest into a large mixing bowl and then stir in the sugar. While whisking, slowly add the milk mixture to the flour mixture until combined.
- To make the sauce, bring together the cocoa powder and sugar in a clean bowl.
- Spoon the pudding mixture into a greased baking dish and then sprinkle the cocoa and sugar mix over the top.
- Very slowly pour 1¼ cups of boiling water over the top of the pudding and bake for 30 minutes, or until the pudding bounces when gently pressed in the centre.
- To finish, dust with icing sugar and serve with berries and cream or ice cream.
